Thinking of heading to Africa, but don’t know where to start? There are as many reasons to travel to Africa as there are countries in Africa (and probably more!) and deciding where and when to go will depend on why you are going……
If you are going for the wildlife only, and are interested in the Great Migration, then travelling at a specific time will fulfill this need. If on the other hand, you are looking to do volunteer work with some side trips, or looking to enjoy the famous train ride of South Africa, then when you go might be more a matter of personal experience.
My trip to South Africa in 2010 was one of my all time favourite trips- lots of wildlife, great scenery, fabulous food and wine- it was a trip which has created fond memories which will last. Over the next week or so, Africa is going to be my continent of choice to explore…..come along for the ride!
