Exploring East Africa

Obviously Africa is on my mind for 2017, and as there is so much to see and do there, this is a difficult decision…….exploring East Africa is definitely on my list……as you can see from below.

On my Bucket List

Starting in the north…….not necessarily to be visited in this order……

  • Egypt- yes sooner than later…….
  • Morocco
  • Kenya and Tanzania
  • Victoria Falls
  • Botswana and Namibia
  • Zanzibar……

DSCF1847 (2)I have been to South Africa and Swaziland- and loved that…….the wildlife, the scenery, the food, and the wine……but I have such a hankering to go back.  The problem will be deciding where and how…….

One of my last posts in June was on Botswana and Namibia- a comfort tour in Southern Africa for just over $8500 with Intrepid Travel……a bit pricey but a top notch tour, and probably the one I would choose for that area……as it is two tours combined, I believe if worse comes to worse I or any fellow travellers could pick one or the other……

So what about East Africa?

Definitely Kenya and Tanzania- and here I found a fabulous new tour with Exodus Travels out of the UK (yes they have offices in Canada- I have travelled with them several times, and they are truly top notch!)  The new tour- Rift Valley Explorer– is priced from $6515 for 15 days……..so all in all both are quite comparable…….

Here is a look at their itinerary…….
