As I said in my last post, Costa Rica is a great place to take the kids for an active family vacation. “Nothing brings learning to life like real-world experience. This week-long trip’s engaging lesson plan gives kids an education in biology and ecology that can never be found in a textbook. Here, spend the days studying the flora and fauna that inhabit the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve and Manuel Antonio National Park. Elsewhere, get in touch with the land by rappelling, rafting, swimming, horseback-riding, and even surfing all over it. Science + gym? You do the math.”~gadventures

Lots of parents may feel that they cannot take their kids out of organized sports to travel- I can tell you that it can be done. Sports is a fabulous way to engage and involve your kids, but travelling to other parts of the world educates, creates tolerance and understanding, and enlightens kids in North America about how lucky they are……from my personal experience as a parent, I highly recommend family vacations such as this one!
