December travels……

This past week I posted an article about December travels on my Facebook page from Travel+Leisure– and then I went back to my blog and pulled this article up originally published in 2013 to see what had changed. The only destination that had stayed the same (so to speak- remember the three from below were all my ideas) was Southern India- specifically the area of Kerala. So- I have moved it to the top, kept one of the other two, and added a third from the article for your viewing pleasure.

As it is December 1st, time is ticking by- so if you do have any thought to going away in December, now is the time to book.  And if Christmas and New Year’s is on your list, now is really the time to book (because availability simply is not there, and what is left is tremendously high priced……).

Rather than posting a great deal of information about each destination, I am simply posting a short description with prices; please contact me for more information.

Kerala and Tropical India

ais_2A region of great charm, southern India offers travellers beautiful cities, colonial hill stations, colourful temples, a relaxed lifestyle, attractive scenery and some of the best food in India. The major cities of the south were once princely capitals of the maharajas, and their magnificent remains contrast dramatically with the cool, mist-shrouded hill stations established by the British Raj. The natural scenery is also immensely rewarding; forest-clad hills slope down to a shoreline of shady lagoons, wooded islands, ancient spice ports and sandy beaches. This is an exceptionally varied and interesting trip and gives a comprehensive view of the whole of South India.

Travelling in a small group (max. 16 people)  with Exodus Travel, you will thoroughly explore Southern India. A 20 day trip plus travel time, this trip will ensure you “get under the skin of India” safely……priced from $2655 plus flights- with many inclusions.

Annapurna in Luxury

tnx_1This extremely varied trip offers everything from fascinating ancient Kathmandu to game-watching in Chitwan. However the highlight is a short trek, visiting some of the most interesting villages in the Annapurna foothills, while surrounded by magnificent mountain views. Using a series of luxury lodges we offer a much higher standard of comfort than is normally available while trekking. Each lodge has twin rooms, attached bathrooms, hot running water, a dining room, gardens and stunning views.

This unforgettable adventure is the perfect introduction to trekking in Nepal as well as experiencing the wildlife of Nepal. Priced from $4065 (includes all breakfasts, 8 lunches and 8 dinners- with other inclusions) this 13 day trip is for those who are reasonably fit, enjoy the outdoors and are looking for some exercise.

Cambodia Experience

img_5109bYes you can travel Southeast Asia very inexpensively…..it is just a matter of getting there! (And I don’t mean flight costs- that is inexpensive- it is the time commitment.)

Stand in awe of the architectural achievement of Angkor Wat and contemplate the horrors of the Killing Fields at Phnom Penh. This nine-day trip is ideal for the traveller who is short on time but wants to soak up the colours, culture, and history of this incredible region. Its natural beauty coupled with tumultuous history make Cambodia a truly fascinating destination. With your accommodation, transportation, and entrance to Angkor arranged by our CEOs, you can concentrate on making this the time of your life…..this 9 day trip is for those who just want to go, but don’t have the time for a longer journey……Priced from just $1249 plus international flights, this trip will surely whet your appetite for many more to Southeast Asia……
